Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Danish-born Swedish ceramic artist and designer, best known for his influential work at Rörstrand, one of Sweden’s leading porcelain manufacturers. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955, developing a distinctive style characterized by organic forms, elegant silhouettes, and richly textured glazes. His work, particularly his stoneware vases and sculptural pieces, embodies the refined simplicity of Scandinavian modernism. Today, Nylund is regarded as one of the most important figures in 20th-century Scandinavian ceramic design.
