Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt (1918–1969) was a Danish ceramicist and co-founder of the renowned Palshus pottery workshop, established in 1949 with her husband, Per Linnemann-Schmidt, in Sengeløse near Copenhagen. Annelise played a central role in managing the workshop, which became celebrated for its refined stoneware, elegant modernist forms, subtle impressed decorations, and distinctive matte glazes in earthy tones of green, blue, brown, and beige. Together, the couple helped define the understated aesthetic of mid-century Danish ceramics. Following Annelise’s untimely death in 1969, Palshus continued briefly before closing in 1972.
